Individuals may not observe all matches in a competition but rather this is a game everybody plunks down to watch, paying little mind to which country they have a place with. At the time we had Matthew Hayden with us. He put his arms around me and the chief and asked how we were feeling. The skipper said that we have tried sincerely and presently we leave everything in the possession of God.
“For me, it was every one of the first, whether it be playing in a World Cup or such a major match. So I was feeling very typical, I didn’t think this was any not quite the same as some other match. However, when we won, that was the point at which I understood what we accomplished. In Pakistan, say I go shopping someplace, individuals won’t take cash. Then, at that point, I quit going out shopping since they simply weren’t taking cash from us, they were all complimenting us for beating India. Everybody I met was lauding us for our success. Once when I went to somebody’s room they had the match playing on TV and said that they watch it regularly,” he added.
