IND vs ENG fifth T20I: Abhishek Sharma scores century in 37 balls; becomes highest individual T20I scorer for India

Abhishek Sharma went on a rampage against the England bowlers in the fifth Twenty20 international in Mumbai on Sunday (February 2, 2025).

Abhishek Sharma became the highest individual scorer for India in the Twenty20 internationals. Sharma got out for 135 off just 54 balls. Sharma overtook Shubhman Gill who have scored 126 against New Zealand in 2023.

England won the toss and sent India to bat in the final T20I. India is leading the series 3-1.

Opener Sanju Samson scored two sixes in the opening over by Jofra Archer. After the wicket of Samson, Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Verma went for quick runs and hit the England bowlers to all parts of ground.

Abhishek Sharma completed his century in just 37 balls. .

Rohit Sharma had scored the fastest century in T20 international by an Indian in just 35 balls. That was against Sri Lanka in 2017.
